Airbnb ICAL calender tool

The Airbnb ICAL calender tool allows you to sync your booking calendars accross platforms. If you’re a vacation rental owner advertising on multiple platforms, it’s crucial to keep your calendar accurate and updated at any time. Potential guests want to know accurate availability and you want to avoid double bookings.

This article is written for Airbnb hosts who need to export Airbnb calendar into their listings on other vacation rental websites such as Booking.com, Tripadvisor, VRBO, Homeaway and several other sites like Airbnb supporting iCalendar format.

There are two ways of doing this:

1) Exporting your Airbnb calendar using ICAL (with a delay)

2) Airbnb calendar sync in real time (by using a third party application). We highly recommend to use a third party real time calendar sync tool to eliminate the risk of double bookings. Use a vacation rental software such as Lodgify or IGMS to enable real time sync, sign u p for free here.

Exporting your Airbnb calendar using ICAL

Regardless of which site you'd like to syncronize your Airbnb calender with, you must export your Airbnb calendar. This can simply be done by following the steps below:

1) Log into your Airbnb account at www.airbnb.com *

2) Go to ➡️ Hosting ➡️ Listings

3) If you have multiple listings, make sure to select the correct listing, from which you want to export calendar

4) Click the availability link. This link can be found on the upper menu of your listing, see illustration below.

5) Scroll down until you see Sync Calendars section. Click on Export Calendar.

6) Copy the link in the dialogue box. The link is in this format:

https://www.airbnb.com/calendar/ical/xxxxxxxxxx.ics?s=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This is the link you’ll paste into the calendars you’d like to synchronize with Airbnb.

To complety eliminate the risk of double bookings, try a channel manager tool / vacation rental software to update and sync calendars accroos multiple platforms in real time, such as Lodgify or IGMS
